David is a professional artist from Helensburgh who lives in London. As a multifaceted painter, he works in oil on portraiture, landscape, and the figure and studied at The Glasgow School of Art and at The Royal Drawing School in London. Martin is an architect and artist who lives between London and Italy. He runs An Architecture Practice in Shoreditch and works on a variety of projects including housing, hotels, schools and community facilities. Martin has also tutored architecture at the University of Westminster on the undergraduate and MA courses in Urban Design. As an artist, Martin paints in acrylics and draws in pencil and charcoal—these work includes portraiture, landscape, buildings and urban scenes. His travels have led to a series of sketchbooks capturing Africa, Greece, India and Italy. Martin attended the Chalk Hill Residency in California in 2016 and held a one man show in London showing the work from the residency. Susana is a professional artist and qualified scenery painter for theatre, opera and film. She has spent many years working at the Royal Opera Hous and continues to work with various West End Theatres regularly. Additionally, she works as a trompe l’oeil artist and is working on the interior paintings of a chateau on France and properties in the UK. An accomplished portrait and figurative painter using oils as her preferred medium, Suzanna also works in pencil and experiments with inks and wax oil sticks for landscape and still life work. Laura is a professional artist who lives in Peckham, London. Working from her studio at home, she has exhibited in several one-woman and shared shows across London and has attended several residencies at the Royal Drawing School. Her work is wonderfully loose with its colour and movement, mainly of the human form and portraiture, yet often with a political or socially challenging perspective. Uschi lives in Hamburg, Germany and is an early childhood educator and artist. Uschi has also worked for many years as a graphic designer and art director for many German publications, including the National Geographic, Geo and Brigitte. Recent visits to Studio Panicale have led to a renaissance in her interest in painting and art and during a two-week stay in 2019 she produced nearly 20 pieces of water colour work. Often painting en plien-air, her watercolours capture the garden, local views, and incidental moments of a summer holiday.
